How to do a kidney cleanse fast

Your kidneys serve an important function by filtering and managing the waste your body produces, so it’s essential to keep them healthy. One way to keep your kidneys functioning properly is to do a kidney cleansing fast. Not only can a kidney cleansing fast dissolve kidney stones, it can also help rejuvenate and detoxify the organs for a healthier system.

Steps

Consult your doctor before starting a kidney cleansing fast. Depending on your current health conditions, it may not be safe. A kidney cleansing fast can also affect medication absorption.

Reduce the amount of food you eat a few days before your kidney cleansing fast. This will give your body time to adjust and will be easier once you start the cleanse.

Determine how much water you should consume each day. As part of the fast, you should consume half of your body weight in ounces. For example, if you weigh 200 pounds (90 kg’s), you should aim to drink 100 ounces (3 litres) per day.

Drink only water for 3 days, as well as organic vegetable or fruit juice, or even herbal tea. No food is allowed during this time.

Consider adding a pinch of Himalayan salt-up to 1/4 teaspoon-to every 10 ounces of water. While fruit juice and teas are fine to drink during your kidney cleansing fast, avoid alcohol and caffeine.

Combat potassium and electrolyte loss by drinking a vegetable broth.

Combine potato and carrot peels, chopped beets, onion, garlic cloves, celery and dark green leafy vegetables. Add water and simmer for more than one hour.

Include the broth in your kidney fasting cleanse by drinking it 2 or 3 times a day during the fast. Throw away the vegetables and do not eat them during your cleanse.

Eat watermelon at the end of your kidney cleanse to further your treatment. Experts suggest that eating 2 large organic watermelons will help empty toxins from your kidneys.

Continue to ease out of the fast slowly, eating raw fruits and vegetables for a few days after you break the fast and before returning to your regular diet.

Glyconutrients – the key to a long and healthy life

The most important discovery for your immune system in the last 100 years is something called glyconutrients. Science and medicine have long tried to understand the code by which the cells in the body communicate with one another in order for its complex functions to occur. For example, how does your digestive system know which food components to absorb into the blood stream and which to ignore?  Or which cells to attack and destroy and which to protect and nurture?  That code has now been broken.  This role is undertaken by glyconutrients.

Glyconutrients are plant carbohydrates (monosaccharides). There are over 200 carbohydrates or sugars but only 8 are essential to bodily function.

These are:

•xylose

•fucose

•galactose

•glucose

•mannose

•N-acetylglucosamine

•N-acetylgalactosamine

•N-acetylneuraminic acid (a sialic acid).

These 8 essential glyconutrients combine with other molecules eg proteins and lipids, to form glycoforms or glycoconjugates which coat cell surfaces. When they combine with protein molecules, they form glycoproteins that coat the surface of every cell with a nucleus in the human body. When glyconutrients bind with lipids (fats) they form glycolipids which also adhere to the cell surface.

Glyconutrients are the key to effective cellular communication and proper cell function. This has been established by the world’s leading scientists and researchers.

Glyconutrients are not vitamins, minerals, amino acids or enzymes, but are in a class of their own as nutritional supplements derived from plants. Glyconutritional supplements are formulated based on new understanding in the biochemistry of how the human body maintains health at the cellular level. Healthy cells lead to healthy tissue – healthy tissue leads to healthy organs – and healthy organs lead to healthy bodies.

Every cell in our body – all 600 trillion of them – needs glyconutrients.

Despite the relatively recent discovery of glyconutrients and their functions, medical doctors and the general public are becoming increasingly aware of their importance in treating underlying causes of disease and in maintaining good health. As good as allopathic medicine is, it simply has NO answer to the increasing incidence of auto-immune diseases, cancers and degenerative diseases in Western societies.  Glyconutrients will soon become a part of standard care by medical practitioners for all auto-immune diseases, cancers, and degenerative diseases.  A glyconutritional approach gets at the root cause rather than treating only the symptoms.

Glyconutrients are however only part of what is necessary to a healthy body. Other important scientific discoveries of the past century highlight the importance of a range of other dietary or lifestyle factors including vitamins, minerals, fibre, water, essential fatty acids, essential amino acids, antioxidants, and exercise. Feeling out of sorts? Listen to your gut

It’s not entirely obvious when there’s a problem. The signs are a little more subtle and you might not even realize they’re related to your gut.

Common symptoms associated with imbalanced flora–see how many apply to you:

– Frequent tiredness and/or fatigue
– Frequent constipation and/or diarrhea
– Repeated infections, including UTIs, vaginal yeast infections, bronchitis, upper respiratory infections, sinus infections, etc.
– Gas and bloating
– Memory problems, anxiety or depression
– Catch more than one cold per year
– High cholesterol
– Skin breakouts, cold sores
– Vague aches and pains that can’t otherwise be explained

All of these are indicative of having dysbiosis in your gut — in other words, harmful bacteria have taken over and outnumbered the good guys. And if you have been formally diagnosed with any of these conditions, imbalanced flora is practically a given:

– IBS (irritable bowel syndrome)
– IBD (Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis)
– Allergies and asthma
– Migraines
– Chronic fatigue syndrome
– Fibromyalgia
– Cancer
– Eczema and psoriasis
– Acne and skin rashes
– Autoimmune conditions

The “cement” of your body’s “foundation” lies in your friendly intestinal bacteria. You have trillions of these little guys milling around down there–more than the number of cells you have in your entire body!

They make up about 70% of your immune system…so whether or not you get the latest bug, cold, virus, flu or infection primarily depends on your flora count.

They surround and engulf dangerous pathogens you ingest from your food or the environment and “escort them out” when you have a bowel movement.  These guys help encourage a healthy cholesterol level by eliminating and even “eating” excess cholesterol.
Plus they help control the pH level of your intestines, which can help keep your digestion efficient and prevent gas, bloating and constipation. You should always have a slightly alkaline pH level to remain healthy. They also help keep your gut wall strong, which can prevent toxins from seeping into your bloodstream and causing pain and inflammation throughout your body.
Restore your gut health with the “4 R’s”

The good news is you can help restore the health of your body’s
foundation–your gut–by using the “4 R” approach:

1- Remove
2- Replace
3- Reinforce
4- Repair

1- Remove

This involves removal and avoidance of things that can greatly harm your friendly flora.

These can include, but are not limited to:

– Foods that you are sensitive or allergic to
– Cigarette smoke
– Soda
– Excessive alcohol (especially beer)
– Refined carbs — including sugar, flour, donuts, bagels, hamburgers, white rice, cookies, pastries, cakes, snack chips, pretzels, candy, etc.
– Antibiotics
– Acid reducing medications (both OTC and prescription)
– Regularly lacking adequate sleep

-Caprylic acid is a good aid in removal of overgrowths

2- Replace

Step 2 is to help reverse dysbiosis by replacing and rebuilding your supply of beneficial bacteria, and this is done with a probiotic supplement. Research studies have shown that it is important to use more than one strain of probiotic bacteria when tackling dysbiosis. Lactobacillus rhamnosus and Lactobacillus acidophilus, have been shown to be extremely effective in fighting dangerous gut microbes and strengthen your intestinal wall. Some believe fermented foods like Kombucha which contain pre and probiotics can greatly assist in replacing beneficial bacteria.

3- Reinforce

Reinforcing a healthy flora balance means nourishing your friendly bacteria (while starving the bad guys!) and having smooth digestion to help keep your intestinal tract squeaky clean and avoid waste and harmful bacteria build-up. This involves eating foods that naturally nourish your friendly flora like fresh organic vegetables and whole grains.
4- Repair

The final step of the 4 R approach to a healthy gut is to help repair any intestinal damage that you may have from harmful bacteria and medications. Good supplements like glyconutrients assist your body to heal itself.
Remember, your gut is your body’s foundation. If you don’t have gut health, it’s only a matter of time before the rest of your health starts to crumble with new pains and other symptoms cropping up every month or two.

Specialised Kinesiology, a complementary health modality utilising muscle testing can greatly assist with gut imbalance. Listen to your gut to keep in good health!

Affirmations are powerful

affirmationThe foundations of a change process are:

  • Meditation
  • Affirmation
  • Creative change/creative visualisation/goal setting

Remember the sub conscious mind can’t differentiate between fact and fiction so….

Thought – create a picture of what you want/how you want to feel

Dream it

Be it

BE – DO – HAVE

How do we do that?

We think of what we want, then we do what we need to do to get it and we leave the being(ourselves) out of it…Its about action not over thinking.

Affirmations are a powerful confirmation of a manifestation. Be aware to use positive affirmations and you can also combine EFT (tapping) if you want.

Lastly remember…What we resist, persists!

Some sources of good affirmations to get you started:

Louise Hay’s “You Can Heal Your Life” Affirmation Tool Kit

Try incorporating these into your daily routine and track the changes that occur in each area.

Parasite cleanse for colon/intestines

Black walnut – When it comes to cleaning your colon, experts recommend that you take a strong dose of black walnut hull tincture. Walnut is also a laxative. If you are having problems with your bowel movement, it would be a good idea to try this herbal medicine. Bear in mind that parasites are more likely to develop in your colon if you do not have regular bowel movement. Black Walnut induces bowel movement without causing irritation, nausea or pain. When it comes to side effects of the black walnut, there are very rare cases of mild itchiness experienced by some people who used it. However, such itchiness usually disappears after a few days.

Wormwood – Herbalists all over the globe uses the wormwood to improve digestions and to purge out worms in the colon. Over the years, the wormwood parasite cleanse has proven to be very effective and safe when it comes to fighting worm infestations especially in children. An added benefit is that it deters mosquito’s too.

Cloves

These three herbs above must be used together. Black walnut and wormwood kill adults and developmental stages of at least 100 parasites. Cloves kill the eggs. Only if you use them together will you rid yourself of parasites. If you kill only the adults, the tiny stages and eggs will soon grow into new adults. If you kill only the eggs, the million stages already loose in your body will soon grow into adults and make more eggs. They must be used together as a single treatment.

Raw Pumpkin Seeds contain an amino acid called cucurbitin. This is believed to paralyze the worms over time, forcing them to lose their grip and get expelled from the body. These are available at most health food stores.

Candida/fungal/mold infestations can cause many health issues. I recommend Caprylic Acid, Pau d Arco, and Black Walnut in combination.

What to expect:

Unfortunately for people prone to Candida yeast overgrowth a Candida cleanse is probably not something you will do once and be done with. Even when incorporating the most effective holistic approach, life long adherence to the Candida diet, continued use of probiotics and periodic administration of antifungals will likely be necessary to keep your Candida under control. However, once you make some significant progress in reducing your yeast load, your diet won’t have to be as restricted.

Pathogen die off symptoms to expect include headaches, diarrhea, increased fatigue, skin outbreaks or vomiting. Although it may appear that you’re getting worse, die-off symptoms are actually positive signs of healing and should not last for more than a few days. Remember to drink lots of fluids to help flush them out.

Cleansing the liver

  • 4 Tablespoons Epsom Salts
  • 1 Cup Olive Oil
  • 14 Pink Grapefruit
  • 12 Apples
  • 4 Lemons

Liver Cleanse

  • 8:30am – 12:30pm Juice 12 grapefruits and drink throughout the morning.
  • 1:30pm – 5:30pm Juice 12 apples and drink in the afternoon.
  • 6:00pm Mix 1 tablespoon of Epsom Salts with 3/4 cup of cold water and squeeze one lemon into it for taste and drink.
  • 8:00pm Repeat same as 6:00pm
  • 9:30pm Prepare for bed. Measure 1 cup of olive oil into a jar for shaking and add the fresh juice of two grapefruits and shake. Shake real hard to mix thoroughly. Go to the bathroom the last time.
  • 10:00pm Drink the Olive Oil mixture. Lie down on your right side for 20 minutes. Try not to move during this time as the oil is passing down the liver. Go to sleep.
  • Next Morning upon waking take another dose of 1 tablespoon of Epsom Salts, 3/4 water and lemon. Repeat 2 hours later.
  • After two more hours you may eat. Start with fruit juice. Half an hour later eat fruit. One hour later you may eat a light meal.

Notes:

  • For smaller people starting the liver cleanse for the first time, a half cup of olive oil could be used instead of the whole one cup.
  • This cleanse is best done following a colon/parasite and kidney cleanse. It is important that your colon be working effectively, and that the bowel toxicities and parasitical infestations be removed first (before doing a liver cleanse) as it is of the utmost importance that your body be able to efficiently remove the toxins and stones that are released from your liver.
  • To remove stones – do not repeat cleanse any sooner than every two weeks until desired amount of stones are passed. For general cleanse, repeat process twice a year.
  • To maintain liver health limit the amount of high-fat foods such as potato chips, salad dressings and excessive amounts of dairy products that you ingest.
  • The morning of the second day expect to have mild diarrhoea.
  • You may feel a little uncomfortable for a couple of days as the liver continues to purge toxins but you should feel lighter and have a lot more energy.

Celiac Disease

Celiac disease is often misunderstood and misdiagnosed. Yet, experts believe that nearly 1 in 100 people may have this autoimmune ailment, which is triggered by exposure to the protein gluten in wheat and similar proteins in rye and barley. People with celiac disease, or CD, have a genetic predisposition to the illness. Some researchers believe that CD sufferers also have an intestinal wall abnormality which allows gluten fragments to reach underlying cells, where they trigger an autoimmune reaction. As in any autoimmune disease, the body senses an invader, and launches an attack to drive it out. In CD, these attacks destroy cells in the small intestine’s absorptive villi, finger-like projections that absorb nutrients from food. Eventually, CD sufferers’ villi are totally flattened and cannot absorb nutrients. This dramatic chain of events is not the same as gluten intolerance, which causes other symptoms but does not involve an all-out autoimmune response. Children with CD often have digestive symptoms, such as abdominal pain, weight loss and diarrhea. Those diagnosed as adults commonly have fatigue and “head fog,” and are more likely to have anemia, arthritis, depression, bone loss, infertility, joint pain, seizures, even hand or foot numbness. What an array of symptoms! No wonder diagnosing CD is tricky business.

If you have symptoms that match up with the signs of CD, tell your doctor. A simple blood test can check for an enzyme called tissue transglutaminase, which is released from damaged cells in the intestine. If that test is positive, doctors will study an intestinal tissue sample to confirm the structural symptoms. Those diagnosed with CD must stop eating wheat, barley and rye forever, without exception. While that prescription is clear, it is not easy to follow. Our food supply relies heavily on these grains, and cross-contamination of foods that are supposed to be “safe” can wreak havoc. So can other misinformation about the disease.
