The laws of health

When confronted with a health challenge, whether a loss of energy or a medically diagnosed, chronic condition label, it is important that you understand what you are dealing with.

Every cell in the body is like a little battery. Every organ, gland and system in your body is made up of cells. In order for your body to function healthily, you must have full cellular power.

If any part of the body shows signs of pain, degeneration, illness or disease, then it’s not the part or system that is affected, it’s the cells in the part or system that are affected.

Every cell needs oxygen to convert glucose into ATP. ATP is the cell fuel or energy that maintains a delicate mineral balance in and around your cells. It’s this delicate balance that accounts for the electrical potential of your cells, without it you are powerless.

In order to get oxygen and remain healthy, your cells must be in a Living, Dry state. If the Living, Dry state is altered you will experience pain, degeneration, illness and disease and ultimately death.

Only one thing can alter the Living, Dry state and that is trapped blood protein. Trapped blood protein pulls water out of the blood stream, reducing the energy field and altering the Living, Dry state.

This only happens when you break the Pure Laws of Health.

The laws are:

1.         Everybody must work…optimal health relies completely upon circulation – the circulation of the blood to deliver essential ‘groceries’ and the circulation of the lymph to ‘do the dishes’. While movement is fundamental to good circulation, it is primarily through breathing that constant flow is maintained.

2.         Don’t argue quarrel or fight…don’t stress yourself physically, emotionally or mentally. Stress is like a shock to the system, it dilates your blood vessels causing massive blood protein loss.

3.         Don’t defile your body . . . if you put anything unnatural into your body you are quite literally poisoning yourself. Make sure that the food you eat is nourishing your body. Even the healthiest body is susceptible to environmental toxins as well as having its own metabolic waste; therefore it must also regularly be cleared, through cleansing.

In conclusion, in the Wet state, four primary conditions arise that lead to every diagnosed symptom of pain, degeneration, illness, disease and ultimately death.

These are oxygen deprivation, dehydration, acidity and nutrient deficiency.

Are GMO’s making us sick?

Genetically modified seeds

Genetically modified (GM) seeds have been created in a laboratory. In genetic engineering, the ‘genes’ responsible for a specific characteristic (called traits) are taken from one organism and forced into the DNA of another organism. Scientists are not sure what impacts these new crops might have on our bodies or on the environment over time. It is just too soon to tell as the science is too new and not enough independent research is being done.

What’s happening to our seeds?

Seeds can be categorised into three groups:

  1. Those that are farmers’ varieties have been selected and bred naturally over time with open pollination, some call them heirloom as they have been passed down for generations.
  2. Hybrid seeds that are specially bred in labs to get better yields. (tomato A with tomato B)

3.  GM’s that are artificially made in laboratories using genetic engineering techniques.

Dangers of GM food

In America 80% of food contains GMO’s. I am unclear on the percentages in South Africa as I can’t find facts.

While there isn’t really enough studies to prove GMO’s are the direct cause of cancer, ADHD, allergies, gluten intolerance and auto immune diseases, these conditions are on the rise with no real cause identified. There is research tha you can find in books like “Seeds of destruction” by Jeff Smith

Independent research

Rats fed GM potatoes had smaller livers, hearts, testicles and brains, damaged immune systems, and showed structural changes in their white blood cells making them more vulnerable to infection and disease  Thymus and spleen damage showed up; enlarged tissues, including the pancreas and intestines; and there were cases of liver atrophy as well as significant proliferation of stomach and intestines cells that could be a sign of greater future risk of cancer. Equally alarming, results showed up after 10 days of testing, and they persisted after 110 days that’s the human equivalent of 10 years.

Consider corn varieties engineered to produce a pesticidal protein called Bt-toxin. Farmers use it in spray form. People exposed to the spray develop allergic-type symptoms, mice ingesting Bt had powerful immune responses and abnormal and excessive cell growth, and a growing number of human and livestock illnesses are linked to Bt crops.

Results of animals fed GM foods –  Independent studies showed stunted growth, impaired immune systems, bleeding stomachs, abnormal and potentially precancerous cell growth in the intestines, impaired blood cell development, misshaped cell structures in the liver, pancreas and testicles, altered gene expression and cell metabolism, liver and kidney lesions, partially atrophied livers, inflamed kidneys, less developed organs, reduced digestive enzymes, higher blood sugar, inflamed lung tissue, increased death rates and higher offspring mortality as well.

Farmers have reported their pigs and cows fed GM corn became sterile, 71 shepherds said 25% of their sheep fed Bt cotton plants died, and other reports showed the same effects on cows, chickens, water buffaloes and horses. After GM soy was introduced in the UK, allergies from the product skyrocketed by 50%, and in the US in the 1980s, a GM food supplement killed dozens and left five to ten thousand others sick or disabled.

All type GM foods, not just crops, carry risks. Milk, for example, from cows injected with Monsanto’s bovine growth hormone (rbGH), has much higher levels of the hormone IGF-1 that risks breast, prostate, colon, lung and other cancers. The milk also has lower nutritional value. GM food additives also pose health risks, and their use has proliferated in processed foods.

There is a lot more research available online if you want to find out more.

What can you do?

Eat less processed and packaged foods. Look at the labels to make sure there is no GMO’s. Buy organic produce where the farmers use heirloom or open pollinated seed. Food to watch out for are potatoes, corn, soya, all milk products, vegetable oils however I am not sure which vegetable and fruit variety seeds available in South Africa have been genetically modified so again – try buy organic.

We think of what we want, then we do what we need to do to get it and we leave the being(ourselves) out of it…Its about action not over thinking.

Affirmations are a powerful confirmation of a manifestation. Be aware to use positive affirmations and you can also combine EFT (tapping) if you want.

Homemade lemonade

This is the wonderful family recipe of Emilia Le Roux in her book A farm in my heart. If you have a surplus of lemons on your trees this is  one good way to make use of them and get a lovely refreshing drink which you can sip after a hard days gardening or when you are chilling by the pool.

Lemon syrup

Grate off the rinds.

Squeeze the juice out.

Measure the juice and pour it into a saucepan along with the rind and the equivalent amount of sugar to the juice.

Heat to just below boiling point, but don’t let it boil. Stir to dissolve the sugar.

Lemonade

Mix four parts ice water with the lemon syrup.

Add crushed ice

Add borage leaves or mint

Sorrel

Sorrel is a leafy green vegetable that looks a lot like spinach. One of the main ingredients in sorrel is oxalic acid, which gives it its acidity and prominent taste.

Benefits

  • It is an extremely rich source of vitamin A, B9, and C
  • It is a good source of vital minerals such as potassium, magnesium, sodium, iron, and calcium
  • It contains powerful laxative properties for constipation and over consumption may result in diarrhea
  • Sorrel contains nutraceleuticals that are very effective in treating and preventing a wide variety of diseases including cancer, hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease. Some of the main health benefits of sorrel concerning specific health problems are:
  • Hypertension: Experts recommend drinking tea made from sorrel for blood pressure reduction, especially in patients suffering from type-2 diabetes. Studies have shown that drinking 2-3 cups of sorrel tea everyday helps in lowering the blood pressure considerably by at least 7-14mm hg. Researchers believe that the anthocyanins found in the sorrel plant are responsible for effectively reducing high blood pressure.

Dill

Both its leaves as well as seeds are used as food and a seasoning. It is the member of the Umbelliferae family, a large group of flowering herbs and spices, which includes caraway, parsley, cumin and fennel.

Benefits

  • Dill contains numerous plant derived chemical compounds that have anti-oxidant, disease preventing, and health promoting properties.
  • It is contains many anti-oxidants, vitamins like niacin, pyridoxine etc, and dietary fibers which help to control blood cholesterol levels.
  • Dill leaves (sprigs) and seeds contain many essential volatile oils such as d-carvone, dillapiol, DHC, eugenol, limonene, terpinene and myristicin.
  • The essential oil, Eugenol in dill has been in therapeutic usage as local anesthetic and anti-septic. Eugenol has also been found to reduce blood sugar levels in diabetics. (Further detailed studies required to establish its role.)
  • Dill oil, extracted from dill seeds has anti-spasmodic, carminative, digestive, disinfectant, galactagogue (helps breast milk secretion), sedative properties.
  • It is also rich in many vital vitamins including folic acid, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin A, ß-carotene, vitamin-C that are essential for optimum metabolism.
  • Vitamin-A and beta carotene are natural flavonoid antioxidants. 100 g of dill weed sprigs provide 7718 IU or 257% of recommended-daily levels of this vitamin. Vitamin A is also required for maintaining healthy mucus membranes and skin and is essential for vision. Consumption of natural foods rich in flavonoids helps protect from lung and oral cavity cancers.
  • Fresh dill is an excellent source of antioxidant vitamin-C. 100 g contain about 85 g or 140% of vitamin C. Vitamin-C helps body develop resistance against infectious agents and scavenge harmful, pro-inflammatory free radicals.
  • It’s a good source of minerals like copper, potassium, calcium, manganese, iron, and magnesium. Copper is a cofactor for many vital enzymes, including cytochrome c-oxidase and superoxide dismutase (other minerals function as cofactors for this enzyme are manganese and zinc). Zinc is a co-factor in many enzymes that regulate growth and development, sperm generation, digestion and nucleic acid synthesis. Potassium is an important component of cell and body fluids that helps control heart rate and blood pressure.

Basil

The king of herbs, Basil is one of the oldest and popular herbal plants, rich in phyto-nutrients.

Benefits

  • Basil leaves contain many plant-derived chemical compounds that are known to have disease preventing and health promoting properties.
  • Basil herb contains many polyphenolic flavonoids like orientin and vicenin. These compounds were tested in-vitro laboratory for their possible anti-oxidant protection against radiation-induced lipid per-oxidation in mouse liver.
  • Basil leaves contain health benefiting essential oils such as eugenol, citronellol, linalool, citral, limonene and terpineol. These compounds are known to have anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.
  • The herbs’ parts are very low in calories and contain no cholesterol, but are a very rich source of many essential nutrients, minerals, and vitamins that are required for optimum health.
  • Basil herb contains exceptionally high levels of beta-carotene, vitamin A, cryptoxanthin, lutein and zea-xanthin. These compounds help act as protective scavengers against oxygen-derived free radicals and reactive oxygen species (ROS) that play a role in aging and various disease processes.
  • Zea-xanthin, a yellow flavonoid carotenoid compound, is selectively absorbed into the retinal macula lutea where it found to filter harmful UV rays from reaching the retina. Studies suggest that common herbs, fruits, and vegetables that are rich in zea-xanthin anti-oxidant help to protect from age-related macular disease (AMRD), especially in the elderly.
  • 100 g of fresh herb leaves contain astoundingly 5275 mg or 175% of daily required doses of vitamin A. Vitamin A is known to have antioxidant properties and is essential for vision. It is also required for maintaining healthy mucus membranes and skin. Consumption of natural foods rich in vitamin-A has been found to help the body protect from lung and oral cavity cancers.
  • Vitamin K in basil is essential for many coagulant factors in the blood and plays a vital role in the bone strengthening function by helping mineralization process in the bones.
  • Basil herb contains a good amount of minerals like potassium, manganese, copper, and magnesium. Potassium is an important component of cell and body fluids, which helps control heart rate and blood pressure. Manganese is used by the body as a co-factor for the antioxidant enzyme, superoxide dismutase.
  • Basil leaves are an excellent source of iron, contains 3.17 mg/100 g of fresh leaves (about 26% of RDA). Iron, being a component of hemoglobin inside the red blood cells, determines the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood.
